Contending For Lost Souls
“만일 우리의 복음이 가려졌다면 그것은 잃어버린 자들에게 가려졌느니라. 그들 속에서 이 세상의 신이 믿지 않는 자들의 마음을 가려 하나님의 형상이신 그리스도의 영광스런 복음의 빛이 그들에게 비치지 못하게 하였느니라.”(고후 4:3-4, 킹제임스 흠정역)
우리는 영혼구원에 대해서 우리가 “싸움”을 하고 있다는 것을 인지해야 합니다. 사도 바울은 이를 믿음의 선한 싸움이라고 부릅니다. 사람들이 구원을 경험하는 일을 막는 악한 영들이 있기 때문입니다.
죄인들이 복음을 받아들이지 못하는 이유는 복음이 어렵거나 모호해서가 아닙니다. 사탄이 그들의 마음을 눈멀게 했기 때문입니다. 이것이 오늘의 본문 구절에서 우리가 읽은 내용입니다. 사탄은 그들이 진리를 이해하고 받아들이는 것을 방해하기 위해 아주 적극적으로 활동하고 있습니다. 따라서 우리는 이 영혼들을 위해 중보해야 합니다.
영혼구원은 누군가에게 그리스도에 대해 말하는 것 그 이상입니다. 영혼구원에는 우리가 기도로 싸우는 싸움도 있습니다. 사람들이 우리의 메시지를 듣고 받아들이면, 사탄은 전략을 바꾸어 그들이 그리스도 안에서 성장하고 발전하는 것을 방해하며 영적 성숙을 향한 그들의 여정을 방해합니다. 그렇다면 우리가 할 일은 무엇입니까? 싸워야 합니다! 우리는 기도로 그들의 영혼을 위해 싸웁니다.
이는 바울이 갈라디아서 4:19에서 말한 내용을 떠올리게 합니다. “나의 자녀들아 너희 속에 그리스도의 형상을 이루기까지 다시 너희를 위하여 해산하는 수고를 하노니.” 바로 영혼을 위한 수고입니다! 당신은 그들의 영적 성장과 전진을 막는 모든 저항이 없어지도록 기도하십시오. 그들이 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 아는 지식과 은혜 안에서 성장할 때, 성령의 역사에 대한 그들의 갈망이 이루어지도록 열정적으로 기도하십시오.
어디든지 복음을 전하러 나갈 때마다 이 사실을 기억하십시오. 당신이 복음을 전할 때 그 말씀을 듣는 사람들이 믿음으로 받고, 사탄의 속박과 미혹이 끊어지기를 항상 기도하십시오. 아멘.

사랑하는 아버지, 나에게 내 주변과 그 너머에 있는 사람들에게도 영생의 메시지를 나누는 신성한 임무를 맡겨 주시니 감사합니다. 나는 잃어버린 영혼을 위한 강한 열정으로 충만합니다. 나는 당신의 영광스러운 복음의 눈부신 빛이 잃어버린 자들의 마음을 밝게 비추고 있음을 선포합니다. 나는 복음의 빛이 종교의 속박의 사슬을 끊어내며, 어둠을 몰아내고, 자유와 구원을 가져올 것을 선포합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

CONTENDING FOR LOST SOULS
"But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them" (2 Corinthians 4:3-4 NKJV).
When it comes to winning souls, we must recognize that we are engaged in a “fight.” The Apostle Paul calls it the good fight of faith, because there are evil and desperately wicked spirits that seek to keep people away from experiencing salvation.
If the sinners don't receive the Gospel, it's not because our gospel is difficult, or obscure; it's because Satan has blinded their minds. That’s what we read in our opening verse. Satan is actively working to obstruct their understanding and reception of the truth; that’s why we must intercede for them.
Soul winning is more than just telling someone about Christ; there’s also the fight we fight in prayers. Even when they hear and accept our message, Satan then shifts his strategy to hinder their growth and progress in Christ, attempting to impede their journey of spiritual maturity. What are we supposed to do? Fight! We contend for their souls in prayer.
It brings to mind what Paul said in Galatians 4:19, “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you” (Galatians 4:19). This is soul-travail! You pray passionately that every resistance to their spiritual growth and progress is broken. And that their desire for the things of the Spirit is sustained in them as they grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Have these in mind as you go forth preaching the Gospel everywhere. Always pray that those with whom you share the message will receive it with faith, and that Satan’s bondage and deception are destroyed. Amen.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I am grateful you entrusted me with the sacred task of sharing the message of eternal life to those around me and in distant lands. I’m filled with a deepened sense of zeal for lost souls, and I affirm that the radiant light of your glorious Gospel shines brightly in the hearts of the lost. I declare that this light dismantles the chains of religious bondage and dispels darkness, bringing forth freedom and salvation, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
