A Call To Action
“네가 만일 네 입으로 예수를 주로 시인하며 또 하나님께서 그를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 것을 네 마음에 믿으면 구원을 받으리라”(롬 10:9)
죄인들에게 구원의 메시지를 전할 때, 그들에게 믿음을 행하고 구원받을 기회를 주어야 합니다. 믿음을 행동하라는 요청이 있어야 합니다. 그들에게 메시지에 근거한 믿음을 실천할 기회를 주지 않는다면, 그들의 심령에 심겨진 씨앗은 사라질 것입니다. 사탄은 심령에 심긴 씨앗을 훔쳐갈 수 있습니다(마 13:18-19).
하나님의 말씀의 씨앗이 사람의 마음에 뿌리를 내렸다는 증거는 그의 믿음의 반응과 행동입니다. 그가 믿음으로 반응할 때까지는 말씀을 제대로 듣지 못했다고 말할 수 있습니다. 말씀을 제대로 들으면 그 안에 믿음이 생깁니다.
믿음은 들음에서 납니다(롬 10:17). 그리고 믿음은 하나님의 말씀에 대한 인간 영의 반응입니다. 따라서 반응은 매우 중요합니다. 아픈 사람들을 섬길 때도 마찬가지입니다. 바울이 루스드라에서 한 일을 예시로 보겠습니다. 태어날 때부터 불구였던 사람이 바울의 가르침을 열심히 들었습니다. 성경은 바울이 그 사람에게 치유 받을 만한 믿음이 있다는 것을 알았다고 말합니다. 바울은 그에게 눈을 고정하고 “일어나 너의 발로 서라!”고 명령했습니다. 그 사람은 벌떡 일어나 걸었고, 영광스럽게 치유되었습니다!
죄인, 병든 사람, 억압받는 사람, 우울한 사람, 그 어떤 사람에게 사역할 때이든지 우리는 그들의 믿음이 활성화되도록 명확한 행동 지침을 주어야 합니다. 단지 말씀만 전하고 그들이 다음에 무엇을 해야 할지 모르는 상태에 두지 마십시오. 그들이 받은 말씀을 소화하고, 자신의 믿음을 행할 수 있게 하십시오.

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 아버지의 말씀은 내게 생명입니다. 내가 당신의 말씀을 듣고 받아들일 때, 나는 반응하도록 강권 됩니다. 나는 말씀을 행하는 자이기 때문입니다. 나를 위해 성취된 예수 그리스도의 죽음, 장사됨, 부활, 승천에 대한 모든 일에 대해 인식하며 행할 때, 내 믿음은 승리합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

A CALL TO ACTION
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9).
When we preach the message of salvation to sinners, we must give them the opportunity to act their faith and receive salvation. There must be a call to action. If we don't give them an opportunity to act their faith on the message, the seed sown in their hearts could be lost; Satan can steal it from their hearts (Matthew 13:18-19).
The proof that the seed of God's Word has taken root in someone’s heart is their response and action of faith. Until a person responds in faith, it can be said that they have not truly heard the Word. When the Word is truly heard, it produces faith within the individual.
Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17); and faith is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God. So the response is so important. It’s the same when we minister to the sick. Take what Paul did in Lystra as an example. A man who had been crippled since birth listened intently to Paul's teachings. The Bible says Paul perceived that the man had faith to be healed and locked eyes with him, and then commanded, "Stand up on your feet!" The man jumped to his feet and walked; gloriously healed!
In ministering to people, be it the sinner, the sick, the oppressed or the depressed, we must provide clear instructions for their faith to be activated. Don’t just preach the Word and leave them wondering what to do next; put them through and let them act their faith on the words they’ve received.
Even now, while reading this, if you’ve never been born again, turn to the “Prayer of Salvation” on page 79; pray that prayer, mean it with all your heart and immediately, you’ll be saved, translated into the kingdom of God. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, your Word is life to me, and as I hear and receive your Word, I’m compelled to respond, because I’m a doer of the Word. My faith prevails as I walk in the consciousness of all that the death, burial, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ consummated for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
