The Sword Is In Your Mouth
“성도들은 영광 중에 즐거워하며 그들의 침상에서 기쁨으로 노래할지어다 그들의 입에는 하나님에 대한 찬양이 있고 그들의 손에는 두 날 가진 칼이 있도다”(시 149:5-6)
시편 149:5-6은 성도들에게 영광 중에 기뻐하며 침상에서 크게 노래하라고 권면합니다. 6절은 “그들의 입에는 하나님에 대한 찬양이 있고 그들의 손에는 두 날 가진 칼이 있도다”라고 말합니다.
이것은 구약의 예언이며, 신약 교회의 계시는 구약의 선지자들에게 감춰졌다는 것을 알아야 합니다. 따라서, “그들의 손에는 두 날 가진 칼이 있도다”는 왕국에 대한 그들의 관점을 반영합니다.
그러나 신약에서는 놀라운 변화가 일어납니다. 양날의 검이 손에 있지 않고 우리의 입에 있습니다. 사도 요한은 예수님에 관해 이렇게 기록했습니다. “그의 발은 풀무불에 단련한 빛난 주석 같고 그의 음성은 많은 물 소리와 같으며 그의 오른손에 일곱 별이 있고 그의 입에서 좌우에 날선 검이 나오고 그 얼굴은 해가 힘있게 비치는 것 같더라”(계 1:15-16)
이 양날의 검이 손이 아닌 입에서 나온 것에 주목하십시오. 우리는 손에 든 검으로 싸우지 않습니다. 우리 입에 있는 검으로 싸웁니다. 요한계시록 19:15은 말합니다. “그의 입에서 예리한 검이 나오니 그것으로 만국을 치겠고…” 정말 놀랍습니다.
이어서 21절에서는 “그 나머지는 말 탄 자의 입으로부터 나오는 검에 죽으매 모든 새가 그들의 살로 배불리더라”(계 19:21)고 말합니다. 이 검은 당신의 입에 있는 하나님의 예언적 말씀입니다. 그것은 오늘날 왕국에서 우리의 전쟁 무기입니다.
예레미야 51:20은 말합니다. “여호와께서 이르시되 너는 나의 철퇴 곧 무기라 나는 네가 나라들을 분쇄하며 네가 국가들을 멸하며” 우리의 입에 있는 말씀으로 원수를 무너뜨립니다. 우리는 어디에서나 마귀의 일을 무력화합니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 당신의 말씀에 대한 계시와 신약의 축복에 감사드립니다. 내 입에 있는 검으로 나는 열방에 의를 선포합니다. 대적의 일은 무력화되고, 그들의 전쟁, 속임수, 두려움에 대한 끊임없는 욕망은 결실을 맺지 못하게 됩니다. 나는 교회에 대한 적대감이나 폭력을 비밀스럽게 혹은 공개적으로 지지하거나 조장하는 사람들의 노력이 헛될 것이라고 선포합니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

THE SWORD IS IN YOUR MOUTH
“Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand” (Psalms 149:5-6).
Psalm 149:5-6 exhorts the saints to be joyful in glory and sing aloud upon their beds. The ensuing verse 6 says, "Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand."
This is a prophecy from the Old Testament, and you have to understand that the revelation of the New Testament Church was hidden from the prophets of the Old Testament. Thus, when the passage speaks of "a two-edged sword in their hand," it reflects their viewpoint based on their perception of the Kingdom.
However, a fascinating shift takes place in the New Testament: the two-edged sword isn't in the hand; rather, it’s in our mouths. Talking about Jesus, the apostle John writes, “And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength” (Revelation 1:15-16).
Notice it says this two-edged sword protruded from his mouth, and not his hand. We don't fight with a sword in our hand; the sword is in our mouth. Again, in Revelation 19:15, the Bible says, “…And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations….” That is remarkable.
In the 21st verse, it says, “And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh” (Revelation 19:21). This sword is the prophetic Word of God in your mouth. That’s our weapon of war today in the Kingdom.
Jeremiah 51:20 says, “Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms.” With the Word on our lips, we cut the enemy asunder. We paralyze all the works of the devil everywhere. Blessed be God!
Prayer
Dear Father, thank you for the revelation of your Word and the blessings of the New Testament. With the sword in my mouth, I speak forth righteousness into the nations. The works of the adversary are paralyzed, and their continuous desire for wars, deceptions and fear is fruitless. I declare that everyone, in whatever capacity, who secretly or openly sponsors or promotes violence and hostility against the Church is fruitless. Glory to God!
