면류관이 기다리고 있습니다
There’s A Crown Waiting
“내가 속히 오리니 네가 가진 것을 굳게 잡아 아무도 네 면류관을 빼앗지 못하게 하라”(계 3:11)
주님께서 주시는 정말 긴급한 권면입니다! 주님은 빌라델비아 교회에게 가진 것을 굳게 잡으라고 권면하셨습니다. 그것들은 세상의 것들이 아닌 영적인 것들이었습니다. 그것들을 잃어버릴 수도 있기 때문에 주님은 굳게 붙잡으라고 말씀하신 것입니다. 하나님께서 당신에게 주신 것들을 굳게 붙잡은 방법은 그것들을 사용하는 것입니다. 계속 사용하십시오.
항상 영혼을 구원하여 교회로 데려오는 한 그리스도인을 상상해 보십시오. 그러나 어느 날 그가 무언가 때문에 화가 나서 영혼구원을 멈췄습니다. 그가 자신을 기다리고 있는 의의 면류관이 있다는 것을 알았다면 좋았을 것입니다. 그러나 누군가가 그 면류관을 가져가려고 했습니다.
다른 사람이 면류관을 가져갈 수 없었다면 하나님은 위 구절처럼 말씀하지 않으셨을 것입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절을 다시 한번 읽어보십시오. “네가 가진 것을 굳게 잡아 아무도 네 면류관을 빼앗지 못하게 하라” 하나님께서 당신에게 시키신 일을 다른 사람이 하는 것을 보는 것은 가장 고통스러운 일 중 하나입니다. 사울을 예시로 생각해봅시다. 하나님께서 사울을 이스라엘의 왕으로 부르시며 그에게 영원한 왕국을 약속하셨습니다. 그러나 사울은 그것을 잃어버렸고, 다윗이 차지하게 되었습니다(삼상 13:13-14).
하나님의 집에서 당신에게 어떤 임무가 주어지든지 그 임무를 신성하게 여기십시오. 기쁨으로 행하고 그리스도께 하듯 하십시오. 그 임무를 세심하게 대하십시오. 성경은 마지막 날에 우리가 행한 모든 일에 대해 계수하게 될 것이라고 말합니다. 또한, 하나님께 순종하고 자신이 맡은 일을 성취한 모든 사람에게 의의 면류관이 기다리고 있습니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나는 아버지께서 내게 맡기신 영적 보물을 알고 부지런히 붙잡고 있습니다. 모든 임무를 완수할 수 있도록 아버지께서 내게 주신 은혜에 감사드립니다. 나는 모욕이나 방해에 흔들리지 않고 굳건하게 서서 항상 주님의 일에 힘쓰고 아버지의 목적을 성취하기 위해 헌신합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THERE’S A CROWN WAITING
"Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown"(Revelation 3:11).
What an urgent admonition from the Lord! He counselled the church in Philadelphia to hold fast to what they had. These weren’t earthly things, but spiritual things. He told them to hold fast to them because of the possibility of losing them. The way to hold fast to what God has given to you is to put it to work; keep using it.
Imagine a Christian who was always winning souls and bringing them to church. But one day, something offended him and he stopped winning souls. If only he knew that there was a crown of righteousness waiting for him; but now, someone else was going to get it.
If it weren’t possible for someone else to get it, God wouldn’t have said so. Read our opening verse again: “…hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” Seeing someone else do what God told you to do is one of life’s deepest pains. Think about Saul for example; when God called Saul to be king of Israel, He promised him an eternal dynasty. Saul however lost it, and David got it (1 Samuel 13:13-14).
Whatever assignment is given to you to carry out in the house of God, hallow it. Do it joyfully and do it as unto Christ. Handle it with great care, because at the end of the day, the Bible says we’ll all give account to God for all that we did. Also, there’s a crown waiting, and it’s a crown of righteousness for all who obeyed Him and fulfilled their assignment.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I recognize the spiritual treasures you have entrusted to me and I hold fast to them diligently. I thank you for the grace you’ve given me to complete every assignment. I refuse to be swayed by offence or distractions, but I remain resolute, steadfast, always abounding in the work of the Lord, committed to fulfilling your purposes, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
