The Righteousness Of Jesus Christ
“한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람을 통하여 왕 노릇 하였은즉 더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다”(롬 5:17)
저는 바울이 빌립보서 3:8-9에서 예수 그리스도를 믿는 믿음으로 말미암은 의의 주권과 숭고함을 언급한 것을 좋아합니다. “… 그리스도를 얻고 그 안에서 발견되려 함이니 내가 가진 의는 율법에서 난 것이 아니요 오직 그리스도를 믿음으로 말미암은 것이니 곧 믿음으로 하나님께로부터 난 의라”
당신이 자신의 삶에 대한 예수님의 주되심을 고백할 때, 그분의 의가 당신에게 주어졌습니다. 그리스도의 의는 완전한 의입니다. 당신이 완전한 상태에서 더 발전할 수 없듯이, 그분의 의 역시 더 발전할 수 없습니다. 당신이 오늘날 하는 어떤 일도 당신을 하나님 앞에서 더 혹은 덜 의롭게 만들 수 없습니다. 하나님이 당신을 보실 때, 그분이 보시는 것은 그리스도의 의입니다.
예수님은 하나님 앞에 의로우셨고, 우리를 대신할 자격이 있는 유일한 분, 죄 없는 유일한 분이셨으며, 당신에게 의의 자격을 주셨습니다. 하나님께서 당신을 대신한 예수님의 자격을 받아 주셨습니다. 따라서 당신은 더 이상 자신의 의로 살지 않습니다. 당신은 예수 그리스도의 의로 살고 있습니다.
로마서 5:1은 말합니다. “그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭다 하심을 받았으니 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 화평을 누리자” 이 구절에 나오는 “의롭다 하심을 받았으니”는 당신이 예수 그리스도를 믿는 믿음으로 당신이 얻었다는 의미입니다. 당신은 죄를 전혀 짓지 않은 것처럼 의롭다고 선포되었습니다. 이제 당신은 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통해 하나님과 화평을 누리게 되었습니다.
안타깝게도 여전히 의롭게 되기 위해 고군분투하는 그리스도인들이 있습니다. 그러나 우리는 스스로 의를 얻거나 성취할 수 없습니다. 그래서 주님께서 그분의 의를 우리에게 주신 것입니다. 당신은 예수님이 의로우신 것처럼 의롭습니다. 당신이 예수님의 주되심을 고백할 때, 예수님이 당신의 죄의 본성을 그분의 의로 대체해 주셨기 때문입니다. 정말 놀라운 실재입니다! 하나님을 찬양합니다!
고백
나는 넘치는 은혜와 의의 선물을 받았고 한 분 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 생명 안에서 왕노릇하게 되었습니다! 의롭게 되고, 올바르게 행하고, 의의 일과 열매를 맺는 능력이 내 영에 내재되어 있습니다. 나는 예수 그리스도의 의로 살고 있습니다. 나는 지금 그리고 언제나 하나님 앞에 설 수 있으며, 의와 참된 거룩함으로 확신을 가지고 그분을 섬길 수 있습니다. 할렐루야!

THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF JESUS CHRIST
"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ)"(Romans 5:17).
I love what Paul said in Philippians 3:8-9, referring to the supremacy and sublimity of the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ. He said, “…that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.”
When you confessed the Lordship of Jesus over your life, His righteousness was imparted to you. The righteousness of Christ is perfect righteousness; it can’t be improved upon as you can’t improve on perfect. Nothing you do today will make you more righteous or less righteous before God. When God looks at you, He sees the righteousness of Christ.
Jesus was righteous before God, and He was the only one who qualified to be our substitute, being the only sinless one, and He gave you His qualification of righteousness. God accepted the qualification of Jesus in your behalf. Thus, you’re no longer living by your own righteousness; you're living by the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” To be “justified” means you’re acquitted by your faith in Christ Jesus; you’re declared righteous as though you never sinned. Now you have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Sadly, there’re Christians who are still struggling to be righteous. But we couldn’t get or attain righteousness by ourselves that’s why He gave us His own righteousness. You’re as righteous as Jesus is righteous, because He substituted His righteousness for your sin-nature when you confessed His Lordship over your life. What an amazing reality! Praise God.
CONFESSION
I’ve received abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness to reign in life by one, Jesus Christ! The ability to be right, to do right, and to produce fruits and works of righteousness is inherent in my spirit. I’m living by the righteousness of Jesus Christ. I can stand before God now and always, confidently serving Him in righteousness and true holiness. Hallelujah!
