주님을 위해 준비하십시오
Prepare Yourself For Him
“일월 성신에는 징조가 있겠고 땅에서는 민족들이 바다와 파도의 성난 소리로 인하여 혼란한 중에 곤고하리라 사람들이 세상에 임할 일을 생각하고 무서워하므로 기절하리니 이는 하늘의 권능들이 흔들리겠음이라”(눅 21:25-26)
우리가 지금 어디에 있는지, 열방의 심판이 시작되기까지 얼마나 더 남았는지 알려주는 징조들이 너무나 많습니다. 그러므로 오늘 당신이 어디에 있든지 예수님이 곧 오실 것이라는 것을 알기 바랍니다.
재림을 믿고 주님을 기다리는 사람들이 있습니다. 반면에 주님이 다시 오실 것이라고 생각하지 않고 그분을 기다리지 않는 사람들이 있습니다. 그러나 주님은 다시 오십니다. 따라서 주님을 위해 스스로를 준비시키십시오. 주님은 “주의 나타나심을 사모하는”(딤후 4:8) 자들을 위해 오시기 때문입니다.
성경은 주님의 재림을 기다리는 사람들이 복이 있다고 말합니다(눅 12:37). 그러므로 언제든지 재림이 일어날 수 있는 것처럼 사십시오. 고린도전서 15:51-52은 이렇게 말합니다. “… 마지막 나팔에 순식간에 홀연히 다 변화되리니 나팔 소리가 나매 죽은 자들이 썩지 아니할 것으로 다시 살아나고 우리도 변화되리라”
기억하십시오. 예수님이 이 세상에서 승천하신지 2천년이 흘렀습니다. 주님의 재림에 대한 선지자들의 말씀은 모두 우리 눈 앞에서 이루어지고 있습니다. 주님은 “내가 진실로 속히 오리라”(계 22:20)고 말씀하셨습니다.
통계에 따르면 오늘날 세상은 인류가 지금까지 보아온 것 이상으로 고의적인 잔인함, 폭력, 테러, 악함, 비인륜적인 행위로 점철되어 있습니다. 오늘날 삶의 고통은 그 어느 때보다 더 큽니다.
부지불식간에 붙잡혀 올라가지 마십시오. 그리스도와 의 안에 거하고 주님을 위해 사십시오. 복음으로 당신의 삶을 밝히십시오. 빌립보서 2:14-16은 말합니다. “… 이는 너희가 흠이 없고 순전하여 어그러지고 거스르는 세대 가운데서 하나님의 흠 없는 자녀로 세상에서 그들 가운데 빛들로 나타내며 생명의 말씀을 밝혀…” 이 일을 진지하게 받아들이십시오.
복음이 땅 끝까지 전해질 때까지 복음전파에 당신의 시간, 자원, 에너지를 쓰십시오! 자신과 다른 사람들을 곧 있을 주님의 재림을 위해 준비시키십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 내 삶에 있는 성령님의 사역과 축복에 감사드립니다. 성령님은 하나님의 영광을 위해 나를 거룩하게 하시고, 내가 의의 길에 있게 하십니다. 복음을 전하고 선포하며, 많은 사람들을 의로 돌이키게 하고, 주님의 재림을 위해 사람들을 준비시키는 특권에 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

PREPARE YOURSELF FOR HIM
“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken”(Luke 21:25-26).
There’re so many signs that indicate where we are now and how much longer the world has before the judgements of the nations begin. Therefore, no matter where you are today, I want you to know Jesus is coming soon.
There’re those who believe it and are waiting for Him. There’re others who don't think He's coming and so, they're not expecting Him. But He's coming, so prepare yourself for Him. He’s coming for those “that love His appearing” (2 Timothy 4:8); those who are prepared for Him.
The Bible says blessed are those who are waiting for His return (Luke 12:37). So live your life as though it could be any minute. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 says, “…In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
Remember, it's almost Two Thousand years since Jesus levitated and ascended from this world. The words of the prophets about His coming are all being fulfilled before our eyes. He said by Himself, “…Surely I come quickly…” (Revelation 22:20).
Statistics show that today’s world is marked by such deliberate cruelty, violence, terrorism, viciousness and inhumanity beyond what humanity has ever seen. The pressures of life are greater today than ever before.
Don’t be caught unawares. Stay in Christ, in righteousness, and keep living for Him. Light up your world with the Gospel. The Bible says in Philippians 2:14-16 “…That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life….” Take this seriously.
Give your time, resources and energy to the preaching of the Gospel until it reaches the ends of the earth! Prepare yourself and prepare others for the soon coming of the Lord.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the blessing and ministry of the Holy Spirit in my life, who has sanctified me for your glory and keeps me in the path of righteousness. Thank you for the privilege of preaching and proclaiming the Gospel, turning many to righteousness, preparing them for your soon return, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
