The Consciousness Of Our Victorious Life In Christ
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth
us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the
savour of his knowledge by us in every place
(2 Corinthians 2:14).
When you study the Epistles, you can’t but be
enthused by the mentality of the apostles in
the early Church, which resulted in the quality of lives
they lived. They were courageous and audacious in
faith. That’s the life we have in Christ, and to enjoy this
glorious life, you have to walk in its consciousness.
Consider the mentality of the apostle Paul for
example; in Philippians 4:13, he said: “I can do all
things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
What a consciousness! Christ in you is all you need
in life. Notice that Paul didn’t say, “I can do all things
through Christ when I pray about it”; no! Rather, he
was conscious of the divine life he had received and
the power of the Spirit at work in him.
The apostle John also had the consciousness of the
ever-winning, overcoming life we’ve received in Christ.
He said in 1 John 4:4, “Ye are of God, little children,
and have overcome them: because greater is he that
is in you, than he that is in the world.” In 1 John 1:3,
he outlined our fellowship and inextricable oneness
with the Father. No wonder he was so confident
and impregnable in spite of the daunting trials and
persecutions he faced.
Bible history has it that during the great persecution
of the Church, he was thrown into a cauldron of boiling
oil and left to die, but he emerged unharmed. He must
have smiled at his persecutors, saying, “Whatsoever
is born of God, overcomes the world” (1 John 5:4).
Hallelujah!
That’s not all. Read about Peter; he calls us
associates of the God-kind; participators in the divine
experience: “Whereby are given unto us exceeding
great and precious promises: that by these ye might
be partakers of the divine nature…” (2 Peter 1:4).
What life are you living today? You ought to live
with the consciousness that you have the God-life;
therefore, you’re absolutely indomitable, and forever
victorious!
Confession
Dear Father, thank you for the consciousness of victory,
success, and glory your Word infuses in me. I’m a success.
I dwell in health. I’m prosperous; I’m vibrant, strong and energetic.
The life of Christ in me has made me more than a man; a victor
forever! Blessed be God!
