THE GOOD OF THE LAND
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of
the land (Isaiah 1:19).
Psalm 33:5 says, “…the earth is full of the
goodness of the Lord.” This means that it
doesn’t matter where you live; right there where you
are, there’s so much of God’s goodness available for
you and to you. Sadly, not many are enjoying the good
of the land. The reason is simple: they’re not walking in
the light of God’s Word. Many look to the government
or society for a better life, but the Scripture doesn’t say
you shall eat the good provided by the government.
It makes no difference which government is in
office or the economic status of your country; there’s
good for you in the land where you are; there’s so
much for you to enjoy. God owns the land, and He’s
telling you there’s good in the land. All you have to
do is live by His Word. He said, “If ye be willing and
obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land” (Isaiah
1:19).
1 Peter 1:14-15: “As obedient children, not
fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts
in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you
is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation.”
As a new creation in Christ, God doesn’t see you as
disobedient; He doesn’t call you to obedience; rather,
He calls you to walk in the doctrine of Christ which
you’ve obeyed: “…yet you obeyed from the heart
that form of doctrine to which you were delivered”
(Romans 6:17 NKJV).
We’re doers of the Word. We live the Word.
Therefore, we eat the good of the land; we enjoy our
inheritance through the Word. Glory to God!
CONFESSION
I’m an heir of God, and a joint-heir with Christ; the
world belongs to me! The cattle upon a thousand hills
are mine, likewise the gold and the silver. Therefore,
every good thing is accessible to me. The Lord is my
shepherd; I lack nothing. Glory to God!
